What to Expect from Be One Massage

Be One Massage offers a relaxing environment to heal the body and mind. We encourage you to arrive at least 10 minutes before your treatment. Each massage is designed to fit the specific needs of the individual client. Each private room provides a quiet, soothing atmosphere, heated massage table and relaxing music allowing you to unwind and fully immerse yourself in the experience. We use only the highest quality hypo-allergenic lotions.

Swedish

Often know as relaxation massage, Swedish massage uses five styles of long flowing strokes to relieve stress, tension, and increase lymphatic flow. It is perfect for those wanting a full-body experience with a little extra attention to tension areas.

 
Deep Tissue

Similar to Swedish massage yet a more intense experience, this massage focuses on problem areas with slow deep pressure designed to target the deeper layers of the muscle tissue and fascia, helping to relieve chronic muscle tension and pain.

Prenatal Massage

Designed for women at any stage of pregnancy. This massage is given with the mommy-to-be side lying using pillows and bolstering to create a comfortable environment for mom and baby. Focusing on areas of high tension during pregnancy while increasing local circulation and minimizing stress.

Sports Massage

Whether you’re a professional athlete or weekend warrior, sports massage therapy can be used to enhance performance and reduce recovery time. Using a combination of invigorating strokes, the therapist will focus on areas of the body that are stressed and overused from repetitive movement. Sports massage helps to ease muscle fatigue and soreness by reducing lactic acid build-up.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger points are hyperirritable areas in the muscle tissue which refer pain, meaning to cause pain in another part of the body. Trigger point therapy uses manual pressure to deactivate these points, helping to alleviate the source of pain.

Lymphatic drainage

Gentle massage intended to encourage the natural lymph flow. Lymphatic drainage massage increases lymph flow function as well as enhancing immune function. Lymphatic work is beneficial to those experiencing mild edema or swelling such as after a sports injury, enhancing the tissue regeneration process after the initial inflammatory stage has passed.

Massage prescribed by a physician to treat an injury diagnosed by your medical provider.

When should I arrive? Give yourself plenty of time to relax and enjoy your experience by arriving about 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Late arrivals could result in shortened treatment times, as we strive to honor our clients’ reservations.

What should I wear? This is completely up to you. Wear as little or as much as you feel comfortable in. Sheet-draping techniques are used to maintain privacy and comfort during the session.

To talk, or not? If you prefer to enjoy your massage in silence, please don’t hesitate to let your therapist know.

What if I need to cancel my appointment? We understand. Life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, we kindly request a 24-hour notice. Please note that clients who do not honor their appointments or cancel with less than 24 hours will be charged 50% of their booked appointment.

What if I’m feeling sick? If you’re feeling under the weather, please allow us to reschedule your appointment. Since massage releases toxins and moves fluids within the body, the symptoms of a virus and/or cold can be greatly worsened.

Is there someone who can help me decide which massage therapy type is best? Please feel free to call anytime with questions. Our knowledgeable staff will assist you in selecting the treatment that’s ideal for you.

Remember… It’s your time! Our main goal is providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience for you. Let your therapist know what you desire, more or less pressure, quieter music, turning the table warmer off or a blanket if you’re cold. All will help ensure you get the best in comfort and treatment!
