Known as a quiet yet profound practice, yin yoga consists primarily of seated or floor postures with longer holds while focusing on breath work and meditation. During this practice the objective is to relax the muscles, allowing access the connective tissues of the body. Yin brings balance to the typical yang practice (hatha/power vinyasa). Room is heated to 80°-85°.
This class is designed with the basics in mind. With less heat and more focus on alignment, this class is perfect for those new to vinyasa or for those who are easing back into their vinyasa practice. Lots of modifications and adjustments are offered, but still challenging even for the most seasoned student.
